“A Journey Through The Book Of Malachi- Turning Our Hearts Towards God”-November 5, 2023
Turning Our Hearts Towards God
God desires me to pursue Him in the same way that He has pursued me.
Worship that requires little is worth nothing.
When it comes to discipleship, I can’t lead anyone else further than I have gone
Being a covenant – keeping community is essential to our relationship with a covenant – keeping God.
God loves me too much to let me continue in my sin.
God desires for me to give to Him in the same way that He has given to me.
God takes notice of those who take notice of Him.
Malachi 4:4-6
We need to learn from the past, to live in the present, as we look to the future.
We need to learn from the past. “Remember”
Deuteronomy 6:1-3
We need to live in the present. “Turn”
Malachi 3:7
Matthew 11:13-14
Luke 1:16-17
Acts 26:2
We need to look to the future. “Behold”
We need to learn from the past, to live in the present, as we look to the future.
- We must turn our hearts to God through faith in Jesus
- We must consistently spend time in God’s Word.
- We must be intentional, living, and vocal witnesses for Jesus.
Bottom Line: We need to understand just how much God loves us. He is a covenant-keeping God who loves us so much that He continues to pursue us even when we fail Him. If we’ll take and apply the things we’ve learned over the past eight weeks, then we’ll certainly be in a much better position to pursue Him.
